There is a small car park at the church and there are benches around the churchyard to enjoy this peaceful and serene setting.  The church is open every day during the daytime for you to soak in its history and draw closer to God.  There is a dedicate space where you can pray and light a candle.  There are also activities that take place in the church; please see the church diary for details, and there is a Communion service almost every Sunday at 11am where there are also activities for children.

Whether it is in our ministry to our schools, our reputation for making cakes, feeding those who are hungry, comforting the lonely, providing a safe space for our families or simply offering the highest views across our area, we are known for our welcoming hospitality, where we truly seek to serve our whole community.  Please feel free to explore the pages on this website, but also please do visit us ourselves; whether it is history or nature or prayer or hospitality that you are after, you are sure to find it at the church of St Mary the Virgin, Martham.

We are currently exploring adding discreet masts (that will not be seen from the outside) to serve our community that does not enjoy good mobile phone coverage.  Further details can be found about this here.
